The Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations recommends that the Parliament forwards the Bill "On Amendments to the Land Code of Ukraine" (re Prevention of Corruptive Actions and Bribery in Land Relations) for further Elaboration

Pursuant to the Bill (Reg.No.2517), the regulations that envisage possibility of free transfer of land plots out of State and municipal ownership into the ownership of natural persons and legal entities within the scope of privatization are to be excluded from the Land Code. The Bill also simplifies the procedure of free privatization of land plots by the citizens envisaged by Article 118 of the Code.

However, the People´s Deputies believe that the said amendments can bear negative influence upon the development of agricultural areas concerning provision of permanent residents of rural area with land plots.
